Looking at the top of the mountain from the bottom It seemed an impossible task to do Climbing that mountain was something I could not do As I looked at the land around me I saw nothing worth staying for Why do I stay here if nothing is worth it? What about that mountain? I wonder if I could climb it Nah, it would be too hard But am I happy here? No So one foot went in front of the other foot I started to climb the mountain The task of climbing the mountain wasn't easy It had been a while since I had gone anywhere I had been stuck in the valley so long I had almost forgotten how to walk As I climbed the mountain I remembered what a prophet of God had once said If I could press forward with a steadfastness in Christ Feasting upon His words and never doubt I could reach the top of the mountain I continued my journey up the mountain I used the strength I had forgotten I had As I continued up the mountain The journey became harder As I was about to quit and give up my journey Something pushed me on It was what a friend had once told me She had told me what was at the top And I knew then that I must also see the top And see what she had seen And feel what she had felt When she had made it to the top of the mountain So my journey continued When I got to the top What did I see? I didn't see what I saw when I was at the bottom The worthless sights I could not see I saw the ocean I saw the beach I saw the beauty of the vegetation I saw the beauty of God's creation And most importantly I saw the beauty of life And the beauty of life Is the most important beauty we can see
